🐶 Temperament & Personality
Rita has been through more than any dog should ever have to endure, yet despite everything she remains gentle, loving and incredibly brave. Since arriving in our care she has slowly started learning what kindness, comfort and safety feel like.

Initially frightened, withdrawn and desperate to hide away from the world, Rita is now beginning to show her beautiful nature. She looks for affection, leans in for cuddles and gives the softest little licks as she starts to trust again. Watching her slowly open up has been incredibly special.

Rita is not a “perfectly polished” dog — she is a dog healing emotionally and physically, and she deserves a family willing to help her continue that journey at her pace.

🏡 Adoption Notes
Rita arrived in horrendous condition — emaciated, filthy, painfully matted and suffering with a severe ear infection. Thanks to the incredible work of the team and the amazing grooming support from @suziespets, she has already made huge progress.

What Rita needs now is a loving home filled with patience, security and kindness. A home that understands rescue dogs sometimes need time, reassurance and compassion before they truly shine.

Underneath everything she has endured is a beautiful, loving little spaniel just waiting to fully blossom.
